At Sweet Moon Soap Co., life’s simple rhythms—gardens, chickens, and quiet afternoons—guide the way I create each handmade soap and blend. I craft every bar slowly, in small batches, using ingredients that nurture the skin and soothe the soul. Between gardening with my children, tending to our chickens, and finding joy in the everyday rhythms of homestead life, this little shop is my way of sharing a touch of comfort, care, and handmade goodness with you. Every product is made with love, for your family, your home, and the simple moments that make life sweet.

Love, Adriana

about me

Hi, I’m Adriana Melchor—a mom of four, a happily married wife, and the hands and heart behind Sweet Moon.

The name Sweet Moon comes from one of the very first chickens I raised—a day-old chick named Moon. She was sweet, full of personality, and quickly became part of our family (my best friend). Even though she passed away just before Sweet Moon was born, her gentle, loving spirit inspired the name of this little shop. Every product I make carries a bit of that warmth and sweetness she brought into our lives.

Like many who fall in love with homesteading, my journey started simply: with a small flock of chickens. One step led to another, and before I knew it, I was knee-deep in gardening—feeding little hands tomatoes fresh off the vine, finding peace in the rhythm of tending the soil while my babies played and learned beside me.

What began as a humble garden soon grew into an egg stand in my front yard, then into the world of sourdough bread, processing a couple meat birds, and even keeping goats for fresh milk. Goat milk sparked something new—curiosity, creativity, and a desire to make something with my own two hands again.

When my kids became a little more independent, I dove headfirst into soap making. After years of being a stay-at-home mom, it felt like rediscovering a part of myself. It was creative. It was grounding. It was therapeutic. I shared my soaps with friends and family, and their encouragement meant everything. Their love and support planted a seed: maybe this is something more.

And it was. After my very first market—filled with compliments, support, and kind words from customers and vendors—I knew I was on the right path. It just felt right.

Now I’m here, building this small business with heart, intention, and a whole lot of gratitude. I’d love for you to join me on this journey as I continue growing, creating, and sharing the handmade goods that come from my little homestead.

I'm so glad you are here.
